Aputure LS 600c Pro LED light - Creative lighting demo

In this week’s episode, we have a look at Aputure’s newest addition to their Light Storm 600 series: the 600c Pro. This is Aputure’s first full-color point-source fixture and completes the Light Storm 600 trifecta alongside the 600D Pro and 600X Pro. It’s equipped with an RGBWW color LED array, a standard Bowens mount, a redesigned user interface, professional connectors, a variety of powering options, weather-resistant construction, and Sidus Link integration. In this video, we’ll show you a couple of ways it might be creatively used to light a film production. Let’s take a closer look!

Excellent demo Curtis, I'm beginning to see Aputure lights show up on professional film sets and always enjoy spotting them in use. The gaffer I'm currently working with on my last two TV series has them and really likes them for certain use cases.

Aperture has come a long way to become my favourite lighting brand. The LS 600C PRO it's on top of my list displacing the 1200D. For corporate work it's far more important to me having creative colour control that brute force high power.

Not exactly. The 60D is not a full RGB color light.

Curious if the bi-color output is higher on this or the 600X...

The 600X at one meter at 3200K produces 45,300 Lux. The 600C at one meter at 3200K produces 42,800 lux according to Aputure but 34,400 according to my own measurements. Either way, the 600C produces less output than the 600X at 3200K.

Interesting that the output figures here are a lot less than Aputure says. Eg Aputure says 51000 lux at 5600k with reflector, your measurements say 34600 lux.
51000 wasn’t particularly high to begin with compared to 98500 of the 600d (albeit slightly different beam angle).
But this is even less than the 45000 lux of the 300d

I measured at 5500K which will change things slightly. The reason I do that is that my SSI daylight spectral power reference is 5500K. Nevertheless, yes, there's a bit of a difference there.
